- $0.25/min worldwide, pay as you go, no subscription fees, taxes already included.
- Minimum chat time is 5 mins, Chats with duration shorter than 5 mins will be considered as 5 mins at the payment.
- The chat duration will be rounded upward to the nearest integer minute. For example, a 10 min 10 s chat will be rounded to 11 min at the payment.
- The default currency is Canadian Dollars. If you are paying with a card of another currency, a
conversion
will be made based on the mid-market exchange rate
at the time of your payment (which is right after each chat). A conversion fee of 2.6% applies,
and additional conversion fees might apply from
your credit card provider. Ask your bank about any conversion fees applied to your card.
For example, your chat with a native speaker was 40 mins, and you pay with a USD MasterCard. In CAD, your chat costs 40 x 0.25$ = 5$ CAD. Suppose at the time of your payment, 1 CAD = 0.7 USD, you would pay: 5$ x 0.7 x (100% + 2.6%) = 3.59$ USD. Your card provider might charge you additional fees for the currency conversion. Ask your card provider to make sure.
- You receive payments from the language learners you chatted with at the end of each chat. Pllanet takes two fees: 15% of each payment to cover for taxes, and $0.3 from each payment for operation costs.
- Your revenue generated on Pllanet is deposited into your bank account listed in your Stripe account connected to Pllanet at the end of each day.
- Your payment histories, bank account details, and other information related to your Stripe account is accessible on the Stripe Dashboard.
- Your Stripe account is an independent account from your Pllanet account, but they are connected to each other. You log in to Pllanet with your Pllanet account, and money is deposited into your Stripe account.
- The default currency is Canadian Dollars. If the bank account on your Stripe account is in another
currency, a conversion will be made
based on the mid-market exchange rate
at the time of daily payout. Hence, you will only receive payouts in the currency of your bank account.
A
conversion fee of 2.6% applies.
For example, your chat with a language learner was 20 mins, and your bank account is in USD. In CAD, you would receive 20 x 0.25$ x (100% - 15%) - 0.3 = 3.95$ CAD. Suppose at the time of your payout, 1 CAD = 0.7 USD, you would receive: 3.95$ x 0.7 x (100% - 2.6%) = 2.69$ USD in your bank account.

are considered self-employed at Pllanet, hence no contract, legal binding nor obligation. All you need is
a decent mic, stable internet and a quiet place.
The money earned deposits directly into your bank account in an easy and secured way. A native speaker must
submit a 3-step registration. The Pllanet team reviews each application on a case-to-case basis and determines the
eligibility
based on integrity and language skills. Once we approve your application, sit back and relax. We will

- Change some of your matching criteria.

- Zero tolerance on any discrimination against race, religion, cultural, physical appearance, sexual orientation, etc. If you experience this behavior, contact us immediately
- Talk about subjects that interest both
- Use Pllanet with a good internet connectivity and a decent mic
- Use Pllanet in a quiet place where you will not be interrupted
- Do not chew gum or eat
- Do not accept external payments, it could be scam
- Do not share your contact information (Facebook, Skype, Email, Whatsapp, Instagram, WeChat, etc.)
